So much on your doorstep!
Living at the heart of a woodland means that you are only ever a doorstep away from a relaxing walk. In fact, Skipwith Common Nature Reserve is a 3 mile ramble from the holiday park, which provides acres of natural habitat for wildlife, flora and fauna. Please see our Nature page on the Escrick Park website for further details on this special environment or click here.
However, if you are feeling a little more active then our private tennis court or bowling green may tempt you. Alternatively, you may wish to hire a bicycle and take the dedicated traffic-free Sustrans Cycle path to nearby Selby Town or all the way to the city of York, a wonderful way to see the countryside at your own pace.
For shopping you could visit the ancient city of York which, along with its famous racecourse, is only a few mile's drive. And if you like to ramble then the Yorkshire Dales, Moors and the East Coast are all within an hour.
If golf is your 'bag', then the nearby village of Wheldrake boasts an 18-hole course, available for use on a daily or annual membership basis. Private fishing in the woods in our well stocked lake is within easy walking distance of the site and disabled access is also provided. Short woodland nature paths will be available for the holiday homeowners sole use, ideal for exercising your dog.
However, for those of you who like an even easier pace, then your home at Hollicarrs grants you that without moving from you decking!
