June 2017

Skipwith Hall

Although the weather has turned more to early spring temperatures and May seemed more flaming than June, we have to say that Skipwith Hall Gardens are a complete highlight this month.  They look stunning!

As one of our wedding venues, it is easy to see why couples choose this lovely spot for their wedding marquee during the summer months.  Exclusive and private, it really is a hidden treasure.

On Tuesday 13th June, the gardens are open by Mr & Mrs Charlie Forbes Adam for all to enjoy with the National Open Gardens Day. All proceeds go to Charity and £5.00 entry fee with afternoon teas provided. Gardens are open from 1.00pm until 4.00pm.

If you cannot attend this open day, then there is the Skipwith Village Church Fete which is also held in the grounds of Skipwith Hall hosted by the Forbes Adam family.  This is on Saturday 24th June from 2.30pm and is a fantastic family event with traditional side stalls, ice creams, afternoon teas, tombola, raffle, plant stall, games and music.  Entrance fee is £3.00 with under 16s free.  The gardens are open to wander around too!  All proceeds go to Skipwith Church and village funds.

Hope you can get along to one of these events.

Hollicarrs Open Day Weekend

The Hollicarrs Open Day was a great success and thank you to all those who attended.

The lucky winners of our Prize Draws for two separate weekends at Hollicarrs in an exclusive lodge were:

Mr & Mrs Bill Raby.
Kevin Moor and Julie Shaw.

Many congratulations to these couples and we hope you thoroughly enjoy your stay on the Park.

Wedding Open Weekends

Date for your Diary

The Papakata and Escrick Park Open Weekend is booked for the 14th & 15th October 2017.

Teepees and Sperry will be on display and all beautifully displayed for the weekend. This is a great opportunity to see the parkland with the tents and also take a peek at our Woodland Wedding area, which will also be set out adorned with bunting and benches. Refreshments and drinks are available, which are delicious and provided by excellent catering companies.  Come take a stroll around and gather inspiration & advice for your big day.

Also to watch out for are the beautiful images taken by Lianne Gray Photography of our woodland area.  We hope to release these soon.  Lianne and her team dressed the woodland for a beautiful photoshoot and the images are sensational!  Photo Credit: Lianne Gray Photography.
