Escrick Park Rideways, one of the best off road horse riding courses in Yorkshire.

Are you in need of quiet, off road hacking with no traffic worries....we have the answer!  Escrick Park Rideways provides private tracks through park and woodland with great box parking and off loading facilities.

Cross Country Horse Riding Course

Set over a 6.5 mile loop, this course provides a good selection of obstacles, which are all optional and with nothing over 1m in height.  This course is also ideal for hacking if you prefer or taken at speed .

Please see our gallery for some examples of obstacles available.

Extended Horse Riding course

A further 20 miles of extended hacking is available around the Estate on mostly private tracks linking into the cross-country course. Most of this hacking is completely traffic free and involves only two crossings over small unclassified country roads. This route is ideal to increase fitness levels and to test endurance riders, or for those who do not particularly like to jump. Blue arrows on the course map indicate this route and we suggest that the you become familiar with the Cross Country Course before attempting the extended hacking.

What People Say
Sue Rodgers - Cawood
I really enjoy the Rideway and the freedom from the awful traffic on the roads. Its so nice and peaceful and better I think for my horse than the hard tarmac. He always seems to enjoy himself at Escrick Park and so do I!
