Winter Weddings – with warming extras There is classically a wedding season which stretches from May to September, obviously to catch the best of the summertime, but as seasons are changing, why not consider an Autumn or Winter Wedding as an alternative and hold in an outdoor venue - I know, this sounds a little mad, but read on!

The environment is paramount to Escrick Park in all we do and as such, Charlie Forbes Adam, manager of his family’s estate, is very keen to rid the place of the rampant and non-native weed, Himalayan Balsam, in an organic way in the woodland area around the Estate. This weed grows rapidly and spreads quickly, smothering other vegetation as it goes, including our English bluebells and wood anemone.
Testimonials
What people say about their experiences with all of us at Escrick Park.
Yvonne Wormsley - Tukans Ltd

Escrick Estate, they have helped us with our specific requirements every step of the way, especially Helen Pentith. When we first set up, we had very little experience of what was involved in renting business premises. They pointed us in the right direction to get everything set up such as rates, utility suppliers etc. They have worked with us to find the most appropriate space for our requirements and have helped with some of the costs and organisation of making the space fit for our purpose.

The big selling point of all the units is the location. Everybody that visits always comments what a beautiful setting we have and how special the views are. We were determined when setting up the business we would not be on some faceless industrial estate and have the daily chore of fighting through the traffic. The Escrick Park Estates fulfilled this brief 100%.

There are not many places of work where you can look out of the window and see deer running by, woodpeckers, a selection of birds of prey we even once had a peacock knocking on our front door!!

Jade and Josh

Thank you so much again for your help.

You made our day perfect.

D & J

We both (and all our guests) had a brilliant day and didn't want it to end. Thank you to both yourself and Diane who helped us at the house and theatre, especially when the rain hit and we used the house for photos. We will definitely recommend Escrick Park as it is such a lovely venue and you were all very helpful and friendly. It was so easy to set everything up, meaning the build up to our wedding was a fairly relaxed one :)

Adrian & Zara Carter - Ryder's Barn
"The accommodation is really high quality and very well maintained. The property is set in the most beautiful surroundings on the outskirts of a charming village and we have thoroughly enjoyed our time here"
Camillia & Huw

A short note to say thanks so much for all your help in the lead up to our wedding, you were really helpful and quick to respond.   All our guests told us how amazing the setting was, some had never been to Yorkshire before and they thought it was very picturesque and serene. Everyone had a great day. Thanks again for all your help, we'd recommend Escrick to anyone!

I brought my daughter and her friend here today, 14 year olds, and two ponies. We had a fantastic time and have recommended it to all the owners at our yard.  I also want to say how friendly the ladies were in the estate office… your team really were very welcoming!

Thank you for the use of the facilities and the easy renewal of membership. We really enjoy Escrick and it has been so valuable to be able to hack off road.

Dr Helen Vos
"I have been a member for over 10 years & in that time have hacked a variety of horses, many youngsters, on our own or with others. It's fantastic to be off the roads where other road users can be so lacking in understanding of the need to slow down & generally be considerate to horses. I feel as safe as you can be out hacking so have made the most of the Rideways to get my young horses out & about without having to worry about unpredictable traffic. There are various cross country jumps, mostly 2'-3', for those that wish to jump; again very useful for starting off young horses over small obstacles."
J Jessop

"I just want to say thank you for a most enjoyable day riding the tracks. I struck on the idea of using the rideways as a way of entertaining my grand daughter during the school half term and it worked a treat. As no-one else was out on the tracks while we rode our horses, the wildlife was much in evidence and we passed within a few yards of a stag at one point in the woods. He looked at us and carried on browsing - Fantastic to be so close to a wild creature without it running away! We saw more deer and other wildlife and enjoyed the tranquility and scenery, particularly the autumn leaf colours and the sunbeams filtering down through the trees as we carried on the ride"

Gill Sanders - Queen Margaret's Riding School & Livery Yard
"As the owner of a riding school and livery yard on the Escrick Park Estate I am both delighted and relieved to have such wondeful hacking on my doorstep. My clients, and everyone that I meet while out riding, enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside without the continual worry of traffic and other hazards on the roads. The jumps are a bonus for those who want a little extra excitement and are well designed to be as safe as solid obstacles can be. They are excellent for introducing novice horses or riders to cross country type fences. I would recommend the Escrick Park Rideways to all ages and all kinds of rider - there is something for everyone."
