New Year - New Working Environment?

New Year – New working environment
After the Christmas break getting back into work routine does seem daunting doesn’t it!  Sitting in endless traffic queues idling along when you could be doing something more productive, then fighting for parking space when you get there.  Most businesses will always feel they should head to the city to set up their businesses and why not, this is where the business base is for most industries, but this often leads to sprawling business parks and endless travel battles and also not always that easy for your clients and customers to visit or park. According to government statistics the average journey time for most commuters in Yorkshire is between 40 and 90 minutes each way - there must be a better way to start and finish your day!

So, what are the alternatives?

Out of town workspace
Out of town workspace can offer you so many benefits, easy access and the advantage of parking right outside.  Most of the traffic is often heading in the opposite direction, so your drive to work is a breeze. Lower rates and rent are certainly on offer further out of town.

What are the obvious advantages?
Apart from much less time to get to work, traffic free roads and no queues there is fresh air, open spaces and super views obviously, but what would your internal working environment be like.  Workspaces at Escrick Park are all converted very sympathetically from traditional farm buildings, so they are not only attractive but have the advantage of large windows, good sized doorways and roof lights to let natural light come flooding in.  Fitted with LED lighting and good heating systems (Bio Mass is now being rolled into the Estate too), help with the winters. But in the summer, doors can be flung open onto neatly landscaped surroundings with park and woodland views beyond.  In fact every season is a delight in the country, we are not sure which we like the best!

Connectivity
Most cities are now Superfast enabled and it is often a misconception that rural locations are left off the list, that businesses will struggle to work on antiquated connectivity.  This is just not the case, at Escrick Park we now have superfast to most of our sites.  For those areas not having this benefit, we are able to provide a wireless network through Quickline Communication to provide a good and reliable network and speeds to all our units.  For those larger businesses wishing to look at the leased line for maximum capacity, we have Razorblue who will be able to talk to you about options.

Visitors and meetings
All our business locations have a dedicated postcode, using Sat Nav or Google Maps means that everyone can find you simply.  The various business locations do give off a real wow factor and means you customers will be more than happy to journey out to see you.  If you need extra space for  meetings of presentations, we can offer the Little Theatre, a historic building fully modernised to provide wifi, presentation equipment, comfy seating and coffee and tea facilities.  We have an abundance of local catering companies, Food for Friends and The Thought of Food to name two within a mile

So, what do you have to compromise?

You may not have banking facilities, shops, restaurants, pubs or passing trade as you would have in a city location, but the benefit of working out of town cam outweigh all this.  We have 35 businesses already working at Escrick Park, some have been with us for over 15 years. We are delighted our customer retention is so good and do consider our commercial clients as part of the Escrick Park family.  We have only had to say goodbye to a handful of clients, and this is usually because they have expanded so well we just cannot offer them larger accommodation.
