About the Hollicarrs

Hollicarrs set in the heart of Yorkshire. A private and secure, natural sanctuary that is lovingly developed within 25 acres of the 250 acre woodlands that make up the historic Escrick Park Estate.

All luxury lodges and holiday homes are well spaced and carefully sited to make sure all owners are able to experience the natural beauty and tranquillity of their surroundings.

Hollicarrs offers a range of Timber Lodges and Holiday Homes, with a selection of demonstration lodges, sited, fully furnished and available for viewing. Our holiday homes vary in size and price, which gives potential buyers far more choice when shopping around.

With a lot of thought put into planning and landscaping, each holiday home is privately sited with open views from every angle and plenty of natural sunlight reaching the deck.

Escrick Park horse riding facility provides over 26 miles of off road, peaceful hacking for horse and rider.  With an optional 45 obstacle jumping course, there is adequate riding for every ability.  Annual or day fees are required for use of this course.

There are nature trails in abundance at Hollicarrs. Whether you are simply looking for a gentle stroll, or a more energetic walk over a longer distance, walking trails have been carefully carved out among the trees around the lodge park, leading you through bluebell dells, primrose banks, past our bird hide to spot the wildlife and natural ponds teaming with life.

If you prefer to cover a couple of miles, why not walk through the woods to Skipwith Common Nature Reserve, a site of special scentific interest.  This route takes you past the lovely Norman Church in Skipwith and the Drovers Arms is only a slight detour for a hearty lunch or afternoon tea.

All our nature trails and walks are ideal for walking your dog. The walking route to Skipwith Common is also suitable for cycles.

Hollicarrs is really well placed for cycling and offers cycles for hire with full recovery option should you be unfortunate enough to get a puncture!  The Sustrans Cycle track is situated only a 1/4 mile away from Hollicarrs, offering cycle only routes into Selby Town or the City of York, perfect for seeing the area at your pace without any traffic worries.

Wander at your leisure, exploring the park on your own and take in the lovely surroundings. Follow the nature trails, discover the fishing lake, enjoy the wildlife - it's hard not to be surprised at the total peace and quiet that surrounds you and the plants, birds and nature that exist in close proximity to the holiday homes.

Regular nature talks and walks are held on the park lead by Natural England and Mrs Fawcett, Escrick Park's Conservation Consultant.
