Two New Additions to the Exmoor Pony Herd
We have two new additions to the Exmoor herd on Skipwith Common National Nature Reserve, Lark and Taurus. These hardy ponies provide a range of natural processes across the reserve, thriving on a site with its mixed habitats of heath, grassland, mixed woodland, scrub, bogs and ponds.
Hedgerow Management
Escrick Park Estate are undertaking a programme of hedgerow restoration and new hedge planting initially through the winters of 2024 and 2025, though there will be a rolling programme across subsequent years.
Pond Restoration 2024
We are continuing to undertake pond restoration and creation across the Estate to provide a range of ponds throughout the landscape. Here we describe some of the work we have been doing recently.
