Rideways, Off Road Horse Riding Course at Escrick Park.

Due to the frost, snow and heavy rain, Escrick Park have taken the decision to close the jumps on Rideways until the end of April.  We are sorry for the disappointment this will cause to riders. We will release further updates on our website and social media and, if ground conditions improve, we will re-open sooner if possible.

Cross Country Horse Riding Course

  • 6.5 Mile distance.
  • 40 obstacles.
  • Obstacles range from 40cm to 1m but are all optional.
  • Rubber & wood chip take offs and landings.
  • Well Marked route through park and woodland.
  • Areas of good grass tracks for a gallop (please be aware of those around you!)

Please see our gallery for some examples of obstacles available.

Extended Horse Riding course
  • Additional 20 miles of hacking
  • On private tracks crossing some bridle ways.
  • Well marked with a Blue Arrow.

Most of this hacking is completely traffic free and involves only two crossings over small unclassified country roads, but please take care when crossing and be aware of traffic.  We suggest that the you become familiar with the Cross Country Course before attempting the extended hacking.
